Last night i spent a lot of time online researching bus lines. Its very odd that each major American city has a rail and subway system...yet none of these systems touch. As far as I can determine, there is 1 NYC train that ends at a station in New Jersey - and at that 1 station you can switch to a Philadelphia train system. what? Between Boston and NYC...those local lines never touch! And Amtrack is $100 one way travel!
So I found chinatown buses between Boston and NYC. Cheap too!
As I feared before the trip - I have arrived in the middle of the active winter. Snow is here..for a few days. I don't mind trudging through snow or rain...but my MacBook does. I guess i should wrap it in a better plastic case before stowing it in my sack.
